Booking Terms and Conditions

​By booking an appointment with K9 Grooming Studio, you agree to the following terms and conditions relating to your dog’s care and our grooming services.

1. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: 50% of the grooming fee will be charged

  • Missed appointments without notice: 100% of the grooming fee must be paid before any future bookings can be made

  • Late arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to cancel or reschedule the appointment, and the cancellation fee may apply

2. Your Dog’s Health & Welfare

Your dog’s wellbeing is our top priority. Please let us know before the appointment if your dog has any medical conditions or health concerns, including heart conditions, epilepsy, allergies, recent surgery, or anything else we should be aware of.

All dogs should be up to date with vaccinations and routine health treatments.

If fleas are found during the grooming appointment, your dog will be treated with an appropriate flea shampoo and the salon will need to be thoroughly sanitised. An additional £15 charge will apply to cover the extra time and cleaning costs.

3. Matted Coats

In line with our welfare standards, we do not carry out de-matting where it would cause unnecessary pain, stress, or discomfort to your dog.

If a coat is severely matted, it may be necessary to clip it short for your dog’s comfort and safety. Additional charges may apply in cases where extra time, care, or equipment use is required.

4. Behaviour & Safety

For the safety of your dog and our groomers, owners must tell us in advance if their dog has shown signs of aggression or has bitten a person or another animal.

We reserve the right to stop or refuse a groom if a dog becomes overly stressed or behaves aggressively. In these cases, the full grooming fee may still be payable.

5. Veterinary Emergencies

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact you straight away.

If we are unable to reach you, you authorise K9 Grooming Studio to seek veterinary treatment where necessary. Any veterinary fees or related costs remain the responsibility of the owner.

6. Collection Times

As a one-to-one grooming salon, we do not have boarding facilities, so we ask that dogs are collected promptly at the agreed time.

Late collections of more than 30 minutes may incur a £5 charge per 15 minutes.

7. Photos & Social Media

We may occasionally take photographs of dogs for use on our website or social media pages. If you would prefer your dog not to be featured, please let us know before your appointment.

8. Satisfaction

We always want you to be happy with our service. If you have any concerns about your dog’s groom, please let us know within 24 hours of the appointment.

We will always do our best to resolve any concerns and make reasonable adjustments where appropriate. Please note that we do not offer refunds for completed grooming services.​
